The Atrium Quartet commemorates its remarkable 25-year artistic journey during the 2025-26 season.

Founded in St. Petersburg, this extraordinary ensemble embraces the soulfulness of the Russian quartet tradition and the refined elegance of Western European music, defining its characteristic musical identity.

The ensemble's achievements speak volumes: it has won the world's most prestigious string quartet competitions, London (2003) and Bordeaux (2007). Notably, as the only Russian string quartet to have furthered its education at prestigious European music academies, it has collaborated with some of the world's finest musicians, including members of the Alban Berg Quartet, Vermeer Quartet, Stefan Metz in Amsterdam, and Eberhard Feltz in Berlin. For 25 years, its performances have graced the stages of the finest concert halls on five continents, leaving an indelible mark on thousands of enchanted listeners.

The Atrium Quartet's repertoire is a testament to their adventurous spirit. They have performed iconic masterpieces by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rachmaninov, Ravel, Shostakovich, and Prokofiev, as well as hidden gems such as the works of Turkmen composers Nury Halmamedov and Chary Nurymov. Their dedication to the quartets of Shostakovich, including the daring feat of performing the entire cycle in a single day in Iceland, Germany, Japan, France, and Russia, is a shining example of their exciting and unique musical offerings.

The Atrium Quartet's 25th anniversary season promises to be a vibrant celebration of its legacy and deep commitment to bridging musical traditions.
