 tor-in-Chief of Annapolis Home Magazine\, and St. John’s College. \n\nTh
 e series is made possible by the Rowsome Estate honoring the memory of St.
  John's tutor\, Nancy Buchanauer.\n\nAbout the Poet\n\nTim Seibles was bor
 n in Philadelphia in 1955. He was the Poet Laureate of Virginia from 2016 
 to 2018. His poems engage many aspects of life\, from the romantic to the 
 sociopolitical to the mystical. He has received a grant from the National 
 Endowment for the Arts fellow and a fellowship from the Provincetown Fine 
 Arts Work Center.\n\nHis eight books of poetry include Hurdy-Gurdy\, Hamme
 rlock\, Buffalo Head Solos\, and Fast Animal\, a finalist for the 2012 Nat
 ional Book Award\, winner of the Theodore Roethke Memorial Poetry Prize an
 d the Pen Oakland Josephine Miles Award for Poetry. One Turn Around the Su
 n\, an extensive examination of his immediate family and their social circ
 umstances was published in 2017.\n\nIn the two years\, Tim has also writte
 n poems for two monuments. One in Norfolk\, dedicated to the Norfolk 17 wh
 o began the difficult process of integrating Virginia public schools\, the
  other for an installation in Dallas\, Texas\, that addresses the many rac
 e-based lynchings that took place there.\n\nHis poems have appeared in sev
 eral anthologies including: Poetry Goes to The Movies\, Seriously Funny\, 
 Uncommon Core\, This Is The Honey\, and Villanelles. Seibles’ works have
  also been featured in Best American Poetry 2010\, 2013\, 2023. Voodoo Lib
 retto: New & Selected Poems was released by Etruscan Press in 2021. His la
 test collection\, With No Hat\, has just been released.\n\nAbout the Poets
  in the Conversation Room Series\n\nIn partnership with Annapolis Home Mag
 azine\, St. John’s College presents a series called Poets in the Convers
 ation Room hosted by renowned poet\, author\, playwright\, and tenth Maryl
 and Poet Laureate Grace Cavalieri.\n\n“Annapolis needs poetry\,” says 
 Kymberly Taylor\, poet and Editor-In-Chief of Annapolis Home Magazine. “
 It needs this incredible art form that helps us feel things beyond what we
  hear and read online\, on television\, and in the news.”\n\nThe poetr
 y series is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-c
 ome\, first-served basis. Works by the featured poets will be on display a
 t the St. John’s College Greenfield Library and available to purchase at
  the St. John’s College Bookstore.\n\n“I think it’s going to create 
 a tremendous audience because it’s also entertaining\,” says Cavalie
 ri. “Poetry speaks to how we feel and how it is to be alive in this worl
