Join Tutor Sarah Benson and /m staff as we view then compare polymath Harry Smith's animated nine-minute film "Untitled Animation of Seminole Patchwork" (1965–66) with Polly Apfelbaum's "Sampling a Sampler Sampling". Smith was a musicologist, ethnologist, and experimental filmmaker who collected 1,300 Seminole patchwork quilts and used them to make this almost-psychedelic animated film.
