Our survey of the piano works of this great French master continues with Nocturnes nos. 5–8 and the Barcarolle no. 2, which include some of his very greatest piano compositions, too rarely heard. This is a chance to hear some extraordinary music in the kind of intimate setting the composer envisaged.
