Led by Mayra Cecilia Palafox --- Chicago-based artist and current Arts Administrator for the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago --- this workshop will explore printmaking techniques and themes surrounding the process by which we define words according to our own lived experience. This workshop will also highlight how we translate words and their meaning(s).

What happens when a text or a word gets translated? Does it change? Does it stay the same? How do words evolve with diaspora, location, and migration? 

Join us at 5pm in the Mitchell Art Museum on December 8th, and we'll get to answering these questions.
