The Socratic Society will be reading and discussing various short works all relating to war ethics over the course of four meetings this year (tentative dates: December 2, February 17, April 21). The first meeting of our Informal Socratic Society will be next Tuesday, October 28 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in McDowell 22, and we will be discussing the Hobbes translation of Pericles' Funeral Oration from Thucydides' Peloponnesian War.
