The Other: a concept, an assigned social position, but also our friend, our classmate, the human whom we encounter daily. How fundamental to our thoughts and existence is the Other? What relationships can we, do we, and should we establish with otherness? Through a variety of program authors, this series of panels will investigate otherness in its different forms and its role for our thought and action.
*Session Three: In different ways, otherness seems to be a part of our existence as we interact both with exterior physical substances and other humans. Instead of maintaining relationships of dominance and mastery, could otherness be the very thing allowing for our human and ethical existence?
*Discussion led by Iris Gonzalez, Sarah Schäfer, & Sam Roy
