What: We’ll do a variety of cardio and strength exercises with a focus on martial arts. The class is for any level of fitness. The class is divided into two parts. In the first we’ll work with weights, jumping ropes, and other equipment as well as body weight. In the second part we’ll concentrate on elements of boxing working on our balance, reaction, and speed. We’ll work in pairs and individually.
Why: After going to this class you’ll stop running out of breath after walking the stairs or feeling tired after a long walk. You won’t just grow muscle but actually become stronger. You will also know the basics of self-defense and martial arts. Moreover, you’ll be well trained and prepared for any physical challenge that you may wish to participate in.
The class is open to anybody from the St John’s community. We welcome students, tutors, alumni and staff. Feel free to join anytime of the year!
