The Santa Fe campus bookstore stocks all books required for St. John’s classes. Multiple translations and/or editions are available of most books on the reading list. Should you buy all your texts at the start of the year? It depends. Your tutors may express a preference, and you’re going to hear many opinions from upperclassmen. You will also develop your own tastes. The basic things you need to begin are: C.A.E. Luschnig’s Introduction to Ancient Greek, Second Edition, Euclid’s Elements, and volume 1 of the Freshman Lab Manual. The campus bookstore accepts VISA, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express credit cards. Cash and personal checks with a phone number are also welcome.
