The Evans Science Laboratory building was completed in 1964. It is a large three-story building with one- and two-story portales on all four elevations. It houses laboratory classrooms, faculty offices, and is home to a popular collection of live axolotls in tanks. The axolotl is the unofficial mascot of St. John's College.
